Dear Friends and Colleagues!
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 2011 meeting of the International Society for Hydrocephalus and CSF Disorders, which will be held in Copenhagen from September 4 - 7. As this continues with our tradition of scientifically outstanding congresses and symposia on hydrocephalus and related topics, we have chosen Nicolaus Steno (Danish scientist and priest 1638–1686) as a “historic patron” for the meeting, because of his dedication to meticulous scientific methodology and as a tribute to his original papers on hydrocephalus—the first ever truly scientific descriptions of the hydrocephalic brain.
The 2011 meeting will include sessions on both adult and pediatric hydrocephalus, and presenters will endeavor to elucidate and educate on the particular diagnostic profile and therapeutic challenges of each area. Experimental studies are increasingly important toward understanding the molecular biology of hydrocephalus and directing future trends in clinical research and treatment, and it is our sincere hope that sessions on experimental topics can translate into and inspire novel clinical research to improve hydrocephalus treatment in children and adults.
We are looking forward to cordially welcoming you to Copenhagen in September 2011!
